BFAS is committed to not only bring families together through adoption services, but we are also deeply devoted to elevating Ethiopia’s vulnerable women and children towards self-sufficiency through our development initiatives. Our Operational Agreement with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, holds us accountable to not only provide adoptive placement of orphaned and abandoned children with caring and loving United States Citizens, but to also carry out programs and services that promote the well-being and healthy development of such children in the country.

Our humanitarian aid initiatives will implement three projects during the first three years: 1) Child-welfare and Sponsorship, which will include support for orphanages sponsored by BFAS and child sponsorship programs 2) K-12 education, and 3) Healthcare including Maternal and Child Health and combating HIV/AIDS.
